Imagine Pav’s clients were all scaled up to world tour level and in the Tour de France for Team Pav.
What type of rider would you be? Which stage would you target?
Pav: You are the DS. What would be your strategy to win a stage?
I leave it to my coach and DS to decide how I should best be used.
These days I’ve defiantly go a miss fire on the engine and mechanical failure in the body lol.
However I’d say not a pure climber but good diesel engine able to sit at a good tempo day after day. Possibly even a GC contender. That said I’ve nothing to compare myself with other than those in the club I ride with.
Awesome thread!! Although I’m not much of any specific type of rider. I like @Kicikacsa’s answer there.
Haha!! Good thread @chris.rides.mtb - might be more fun to let everyone answer for themselves
That’s a good old fashioned kop out
No help from the car, I see. Doesn’t matter, I’m off with the breakaway anyway hoping to make it a sprint finish after a long day or even better ride away on cobbles or gravel. Apart from that, I’ll be a loyal domestique, pushing the wind for whoever goes for GC.
I think I am a fat, middle aged Mads Pederson. I can sprint and I can get over some of the lumpy stuff.
In my mind’s eye I am Tadej Pogacar. Cheeky, mercurial, can beat anyone on any given day.
When I was a kid my cycling club called me Big Mig.
I would be a time trial specialist, so totally focused on that and leading out man on other stages.
